Claudio Faeh completed delivery of his latest film 'SNIPER: RELOADED' in January 2011. Filmed in and around Johannesburg, South Africa, produced for Film Afrika and Germany's Apollo Media, the film will be released worldwide in March 2011 by Sony's Stage 6 Films. With Billy Zane reprising his role as the Spotter, and featuring Richard Sammel (from 'Inglourious Basterds'), Annabel Wright, and introducing Chad Michael Collins as the son of the original 'Sniper', Tom Berenger, 'Sniper: Reloaded' both produced and directed by Faeh is a taut return to the set-up created in the Luis Lhosa original.
Primarily a director, Claudio handled the extreme demands of both the 3D FX duties, and as a Producer on legendary horror and suspense director Joe Dante's THE HOLE 3D , starring Chris Massoglia, Haley Bennett, Nathan Gamble, Teri Polo and Bruce Dern. THE HOLE 3D was an official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival and was also invited to the International Film Festival Venice, where it took home the “3D Award” for best 3D feature film of the year.
Faeh acted as Executive Producer on 'Starship Troopers 3: Marauder'. Written and directed by Ed Neumeier, writer/creator of 'Robocop' (with writing partner Michael Miner) and writer of the first 'Starship Troopers', it is another of Paul Verhoeven's exotic sci-fi action films returning to life with a major assist from Claudio. Verhoeven also shared Executive Producer credit on the Faeh-directed 'Hollow Man 2', Claudio's first directorial assignment for Sony Pictures/Screen Gems, produced by Doug Wick and Red Wagon Entertainment in Vancouver. Starring Christian Slater as the Hollow Man, with 'Twilight' star Peter Facinelli as the young detective and Laura Regan as his leading lady.The movie premiered to outstanding sales and was nominated for a Saturn Award.
For CBS and Sander/Moses Productions Claudio directed the award winning original web series GHOST WHISPERER: THE OTHER SIDE, a scripted online companion series to CBS’s ‘Ghost Whisperer’, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. The web series was the winner of the TVGuide Online Award for 'Best Online TV Drama'. CBS quickly followed up with a second season, also directed by Claudio Faeh. Produced on a shoe string budget in 2003, CORONADO, featuring John Rhys-Davies, was Claudio’s feature film debut as a director and co-writer. The movie, a tour de force of humorous action and well-rendered special effects, sold successfully to 35 countries.
Prior to his feature film debut, Claudio wrote and directed several short films for which he received numerous international awards, including the ‘Young Spielberg Award’ at The Fast Video Competition, the ‘Gold Medal’ at the JVC Tokyo Film Festival, three-time ‘Finalist Award’ at the Worldfest Houston, ‘Prix des Industries Techniques’ at the Film Festival Geneva, and the ‘Filmfluss Award’ Zurich.
In between feature films and TV work, Claudio has directed award winning commercials in his native Europe and was the winner of the Swiss Advertising Award for Best Director “Edi” 2009 and winner of Silver Medal at New York Festivals 2008.
