Recent film credits include: Countdown to Zero (Participant Films) produced by Lawrence Bender directed by Lucy Walker and acquired by Magnolia Films after its 2010 Sundance premiere out of competition for a June release, Countdown to Zero recently had its European premiere (May 17th) at the Cannes Festival; Frozen River, directed by Courtney Hunt, nominated for 2 Academy Awards and Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival; Outrage, directed by Kirby Dick, currently playing on HBO; The Great Debaters, co-composed with James Newton Howard and directed by Denzel Washington; Wordplay and I.O.U.S.A., both directed by Patrick Creadon and both having played at Sundance; and The Laramie Project, directed by Moises Kaufman for HBO, featuring Steve Buscemi and Christina Ricci. Stolen, directed by Rebecca Dreyfus, won him a Best Music Award at the 2003 Avignon Film Festival.

His recent work in the theatre includes: Time Stands Still (Broadway), with Laura Linney and Alicia Silverstone; Come Back, Little Sheba (Broadway) with S. Epatha Merkerson; Suddenly Last Summer (Roundabout), with Blythe Danner and Carla Gugino; Macbeth (New York Shakespeare Festival), with Liev Schrieber; Hedda Gabler, (Broadway) with Kate Burton. He is currently working with Richard Nelson on a musical adaption of a Chekhov story called The Player Piano. Golub is represented by First Artists Management and The Derek Power Company.
