Robert Dornhelm is enjoying an uncommonly busy New Year as 2010 has already brought him wonderful notices for the Great Performances screenings of his classic version of the doomed 1830 love story La Boheme on PBS. Starring Rolando Villazon and Anna Netrebko, the film is enjoying rave notices while it is being released the film theatrically in several different countries, including Russia, Austria, Germany and Greece! The film was released simultaneously in theatres across the US in September 2009, an early and positive experiment which put a one night opera performance into neighbourhood motion picture theatres.
