
J. Peter Robinson's most recent and challenging engagement is for Director Mick Jackson and HBO to score HBO Films' biography TEMPLE GRANDIN about the celebrated autistic doctor and professor Dr. Temple Grandin.
Grandin, a leader of the US autism advocacy movement is portrayed on camera by Claire Danes. The film also stars Julia Ormond, David Strathairn and Catherine O'Hara. It is set for release this year. Robinson has previously worked with Jackson, providing the pulsating score for Jacksonメs mini-series THE HADES FACTOR.
Robinson's most recent credits include SIS, SHARK, and TORNADO ROAD as well as his work as composer on Director Roger Donaldson's THE BANK JOB. That film took him to Australia, where it was post produced by Donaldson and stars Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows; the film was written by Dick Clement and Ian LaFrenais.
THE BANK JOB is based upon the events surrounding the 1971 Baker Street bank robbery which story (due to a UK Government gag order) was prevented from being told for over thirty years. Neither recovering the stolen money nor making a single arrest on one of of the biggest bank robberies in British history, the robbers got away scot-free. Production companies and distributors on the film include Arclight Films, Lionsgate, Mosaic Media and Relativity Films.
Other of Robinson's accomplishments include the score for CBS' 2006 miniseries THE HADES FACTOR (based on the Robert Ludlum novel COVERT ACTION: THE HADES FACTOR) .
