
Actress Antonia Bernath has appeared in feature films ranging from a leading role in the Indian Film "Kisna", to a featured part in the recent British hit "St Trinian's"; on which she also was one of three singers on the main title song. She has already played numerous roles in Television including 11 episodes of the hit British series "Holby City".
Antonia stars in the leading the role of 'Jimi' in the feature film "Cuckoo", written and directed by Richard Bracewell, starring Laura Fraser, Bernath and Richard E Grant. "Cuckoo", a Papillon Pictures project, is being readied for distribution and is scheduled to appear in summer 2008. Other recent work includes "Goal III", Milkshake Films (post-production).
Possessing a gift for accents, Antonia starred as the young Priscilla Presley opposite Jonathon Rhys Meyers as Elvis in the Golden Globe winning, multiple Emmy nominated production of "Elvis"; a multi-million dollar mini-series for CBS Television. The film also starred Randy Quaid as Col. Parker and Camryn Manheim as Gladys Presley (Elvis' adored mother), with Robert Patrick as Vernon Presley and Rose McGowan as Ann-Margret.
Born in the USA, Antonia was raised in the English county of Wiltshire. She attended Cambridge University before winning a place at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, but Bernath cut short her education there and took the chance to act in her first film: a Hindi movie: "Kisna". Set in 1930s India during the British Raj, Bernath starred in the part of a luminously beautiful army general's daughter who falls in love with a young Indian boy, with tragic consequences.
